The characters are meant to look like paper cutouts in a sort of puppet theater environment. Though not all the characters will articulate with pinion joints, the main characters are intended to. The puzzles in the game are meant to be solved by a combinations of dialogue trees, flexible strategies and the varying use of 5 disparate items that are determined as you move through the game. While this is not wholly unique as game play goes, the puzzle solving aspect of the game is initiated in a manner akin to investigation and thus begins before the game itself starts. In the examples below the interface reveals an additional button when the iPad is turned on its side, and the key button only performs a function when it is dragged to the lock button. This early aspect of play introduces a key element of game mechanic later on when objects in the game are combined with one another to modify their functions.
